Valerie Vande Panne is an award-winning independent journalist. Her work has been featured in the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, the Boston Phoenix, Reason, and the Village Voice, among other publications.
She is a former news editor of High Times magazine.
Prior to becoming a journalist, she spent many years working on drug policy reform. She is a former non-student board member of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, and a founding board member of Flex Your Rights. Valerie has worked with the Marijuana Policy Project, along with many other drug policy reform organizations. She also managed the campaign office of Robert Morgenthau’s successful, final run for re-election as New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney.
She currently lives in the Boston area.
